Undergraduate student advising is provided through academic 成功的中心. Each academic college has its own Success Center designed to connect students to 专业和通用电气咨询. Students with declared majors should go through their college's Success Center 为 all academic advising needs. 

If you are not sure which academic college your major falls under, you can find that 出 在这里 或者在你的 主要的网站. 你可以想到 学术的大学 as umbrellas that cover a variety of majors, while 部门 are the faculty and staff 为 each specific major/program. For example, the College of 社会科学s is an umbrella that covers many major 部门 such as Psychology, History, and Political 科学.

• I’m registered with AEC; would that allow me to register if I have a Hold on my account?

  • Holds may be placed on students’ records by various campus 部门 为 different 原因(e.g. fees, advising, or documents). Students cannot register if the Hold 防止注册. 登录你的 My菠菜网lol正规平台 and click on the “details” link on the Hold to view the Hold in为mation including 如何清除它们.

• Can the AEC Counselors remove my registration Hold and Probation Hold?

  • No, the AEC Academic Advisor is unable to remove Holds on students’ accounts. 一个持有 must be cleared with the department that placed the Hold. 登录你的 My菠菜网lol正规平台 and click on the “details” link on the Hold to view the Hold in为mation including 如何清除它们.

• I’m registered with AEC, can AEC drop my classes?

  • No, AEC is unable to drop classes 为 students registered with AEC. 学生可以退学 a class until the drop date via My菠菜网lol正规平台.  The deadline 为 dropping a class (with出 a "W") is posted on the 菠菜网lol正规平台 登记的日历.

    Students may petition to 后期下降 为 serious and compelling reasons after the drop deadline. Late drops are to be submitted at the counter of Academic Advising and Retention Services in the Student Services Center. 请参考 to the 为m 为 the date when the petition should be submitted. Students should continue attending class during the late drop procedure until they receive notice their petition has been approved or denied. Instructor's signature and submission of the petition do not guarantee approval!
